Thanks to a handy embed code I’ve been able to add the Open Education Timeline to the range of data services available at OER Impact Map.  You can see it in situ at http://oermap.org/open-education-timeline. Thanks to the Open Knowledge Foundation Open Education Working Group for putting the data together and making it share-able!

One of the benefits of using open data is that it allows for the consolidation of diverse data sets with reference to their spatial or geographical locations (as in OER Impact Map) or a shared historical reference (as in the Open Education Timeline).

We have thoughts on the ways we might enhance the services offered by the map site, but it would be interesting to hear from some followers and OER users about what would be useful to them… any thoughts?
