Well our morning hasn’t been quite as melodic but it’s exciting to be waking up in Baltimore and looking forward to the next round of research data collection for OER Research Hub. Beck Pitt and I are here for an action packed week.  Later today we are heading to Anne Arundel Community College to meet a range of people who were involved in the Bridge to Success project and the National STEM Consortium.  Tomorrow I’ll be heading to Northern Virginia Community College in Fairfax while Beck will be visiting Baltimore City Community College.

(We might try and catch a baseball game over the weekend!)

Next week I’ve got some meetings in Washington DC (which I’m excited to visit) including appointments with Michael Carroll from the board of Creative Commons; Heather Joseph who is Chief Executive of the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition; and Hal Plotkin, Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of the Under Secretary of Education, United States Department of Education.  Beck will be visiting with Goodwill Industries to talk about improving access to education, and we will both be spending some time at Baltimore City Community College and University of Maryland University College.  It’s all feeling pretty action-packed but should prove to be a rewarding trip… further blog posts forthcoming as events unfold…
